The Rowan Creek watershed drains portions of five Columbia County townships (Arlington, Dekorra, Lowville, Lodi and Leeds), with the village of Poynette lying squarely in the middle. Rowan Creek originates just upstream of Loveland Road (east of Highway 51).

Creek Clean Up Day is May 18, 2013
Join the Friends of Rowan Creek and the Poynette High School Conservation Club on May 18, 2013 for the annual Rowan Creek clean up that coincides with Earth Day. Meet at Pauquette Park on Main Street in Poynette. It's next to the Village Hall.
The clean up goes from 9am to noon. Lunch is provided at noon. Wear clothing that can get dirty. Garbage bags provided.
